Obituary of Richard J. Barone

Richard J. Barone, 65, of Old Harbor Drive, died on  Thursday Feb 7 2019 after a long illness. he was born in Newark, NJ on July 14, 1953 and was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline {Greco} Barone.  He was a graduate of Baldwin High School and had attended Hofstra University.  He retired as assistant store manager from Best Buy in Valley Stream, NY, he had worked in retail for over 40 years. Beloved husband of Daniela S. {Stember}, whom he  married on Oct. 11, 1992.  Richard was a man of strong faith and active at St.Christopher church in Baldwin NY for many years.  He was avid golfer and loved his Giants and Yankees.

In addition to his beloved wife Daniela, he is the devoted father of Alexandra Barone and little Hootie of Clifton Park; brother of Michael (Elaine) Barone.

 

Memorial mass will be held on Friday at 9:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

 

In Lieu of Flowers a donation to St Jude’s children’s Hospital is appreciated.

There will be no calling hours.

 

Also a memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre on Long Island.
