Geneva Maynard Strope, 74, of Watervliet, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, January 17, 2020.
Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Margaret Jones Maynard and the wife of the late Edward Strope who passed away on March 19, 2014.
Mrs. Strope cherished being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She loved to do her puzzles, go shopping, watching television and even keeping tabs on her family using Facebook.
Devoted mother of Charlene Arnold of Sprakers, NY, Shirley Pasquarillo of Averill Park, John L. Strope of Watervliet, Tammy Simpson of Troy, Joanne Strope of North Adams, MA and Edward Strope of Watervliet, sister of Bernice Obzud, Avis Blanchard, Gloria Wilcox, David Maynard and the late Douglas and Jerry Maynard, also survived by 13 cherished grandchildren, 12 adored great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her feline companion kitty “Missy” who was always by her side.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Ave (Corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.
