Obituary of Melamangalam S. Jayaraman

M.S. Jayaraman, B.S., Pharm, M.D., 71 of Wesbster Drive in Niskayna, NY died on Monday Nov. 25, 2019 at his residence.  He was  born in Calcutta, India and was the son of the late Melamangalam and Rojima Sivasubramaniam.  He came to the United States in 1976 and was a Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI)  at Albany College of Pharmacy.  This  Health Sciences is an independent, not-for-profit research and development institute coommitted to advancing health care for all.  His research interests were Nano-pharmacy, Nano-pharmacology, Drug and Delivery.  He had been a pharmacist at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady for many years.

He was the husband of Jyoti Swaminathan; father of Priya (Matt) Halvorsen of NC and Nirmala Jayaraman of Albany, NY.  All of his siblings are in India.

Hindu funeral services were held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gardner Earl Memorial Crematory and Chapel in Troy.
