Dear Maureen, Patty, Colleen and Theresa, Know without a doubt that your dear mother went right into the arms of your Dad. Since we lost Patrick 25 years ago, we have had so many instances of his presence. God has gifted us with so much comfort. I think it was because we were in such grief, we constantly looked for "signs" and God was more than generous allowing them to be seen. It is all through HIM. Keep all your senses open and you might just be amazed. I will miss Gail. Through the years we have had so many wonderful telephone conversations, usually about our family members and our concern for them in this vale of tears. I could always depend on her for prayers as she did on me. She would never let on about how her challenges would get her down (until our very last conversation) and always would delight in your uncle and my many fun activities....ones that, due to her infirmity and aloneness, she could not do. How she had to miss your dad...10 long years..but she never ever complained but would laugh and show such happiness for ME. In the last talk she admitted that she was very concerned about the results of the vein tests...and I know she worried about the possibility of a serious stroke that would leave her incapacitated. God, in His mercy, took her home to be in everlasting glory, a reward for her faithfulness. May you have peace, "the peace that only God can give". She wouldn't want you to grieve. How often we talked about heaven and our reuniting with our loved ones. Love, Aunt Pam
