Obituary of Joseph W. Bridges, Jr.

Joseph W. Bridges, Jr., 62, longtime resident of Trenton Street in South Troy, went to be with the Lord and those who have passed before him on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.

Born in South Bend, Indiana, he was the son of Joseph W. Bridges, Sr. and the late Dorothy Watson Bridges.

Joe resided in Troy most of his life and was known to and loved by so many. He was mighty in stature and very kind hearted.  He was always there to lend a helping hand to many of his neighbors and contractors in South Troy. He also enjoyed painting and arts and crafts.

Brother of Ernest L. (Gema) Bridges, David E. Bridges, Lynn Rhames, Paula L. (Howard) Faggans and the late Edward C. Bridges and the late Robert L. Bridges, who is survived by his wife Patricia M. “Tisa” Bridges, also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, their families and a host of relatives and friends.

The wake for Joe will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.    A prayer and reflections will then begin at Noon and be followed by his interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
