Obituary of Robert Everett Bentley, Sr.

     Robert Everett Bentley, Sr., 87 of the Van Rensselaer Manor and formerly of Lansingburgh and the Petersburgh-Berlin, NY area died on Thursday Jan. 10, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on Oct. 1, 1931 in Petersburgh and was the son of the late John Henry and Martha Stone Bentley. He was educated in the Berlin School System. He was honorably discharged from the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954.   Bob, in his early years had worked for WJ Cowees in Berlin, Standard Furniture Co.in Troy and later he was a security officer for Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. He was the husband of the late Katherine Bentley.

     He is the father of Robert E. Bentley, Jr., Gordon Alan Bentley, Gail Star Bennett and Elaine Sue Bentley, Esq.; he is also survived by 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by his 9 siblings.

    Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

    Interment will be in Berlin, NY
