     Ruth Seiler, 86, of Venice Florida, died on Friday October 5th at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs NY after a brief illness.

     Born on July 21, 1932, in Waterbury Connecticut, Ruth was the daughter of the late Jerome and Mary (Jucius) Bakutis. She grew up and was educated in Connecticut, where she started her own successful business which she ran independently for 30 years, retiring in 1992.

    Ruth was predeceased by her husband “Moe” Seiler, to whom she was married for 60 years. She and Moe traveled to many locations around the globe, learning about various cultures and appreciating all the the world has to offer. She was artistic and enjoyed painting and learning new art forms throughout her life. She had a special love for animals, especially man’s best friend, and she owned many pets to whom she was very loving and devoted.

     Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon Desrochers of Ballston Lake NY, her beloved grandsons Matthew, Jared, Jesse, and Brian, and her best friend and companion Peter Bracke of Venice, Florida.
