Obituary of Mary Jeanette Pitts

     Mary Jeanette (Miley) Pitts, born on September 19, 1946 in Albany, New York, to the late Dorothea Miley and the late William Miley, passed away at age 72 on October 1, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a domestic goddess. She lived her life solely for her family. She was known to many as "the strongest woman they know".

     Mary was the beloved and cherished wife of 49 years to the love of her life, Bernard Pitts. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Miley and John Miley; and her faithful and much loved furbaby, Champ. Mary is survived by her children, Michael (Kara) Udwary and Shirley Udwary, and Jeffery Pitts, Kelly (Shawn) Moran, and Jessica (Nicholas) Hanna; and sister, Dorothy (James) Scott. Mary is also survived by her beloved 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

     The family would like to send a special thank you to the many wonderful people who took care of Mary for 17 years at the Rubin Dialysis Center of Saratoga, and the Saratoga Hospice, especially to Nicole, her caring nurse and Pastor Mike, who never failed to make her smile. Also to Father Rick for fulfilling one of Mary’s final wishes.  Services will be announced at a later date.
