Obituary of Mary R. Cepiel

     Mary R. Cepiel, 98, of 30 Rockrose Way in Malta died on Thursday September 27, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.  Born in Waterford, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Falcone; wife of the late Joseph F. Cepiel who died in 1994.

     She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Mark) VanValkenburgh of Cary, NC; JoAnn (James) Rivet of Malta, NY and Joseph F. Cepiel, Jr.; sister of Albert Falcone of Charlottesville, VA; Nicholas Falcone of W. Long Branch, NJ; Louis Falcone of Eustis, FL and predeceased by brothers; Thomas Falcone, Frank Falcone and sister Lena Beauregard.  She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Amy (Ray) Butler of Wellesley, MA; Jeffrey (Nancy) Rivet of Boca Raton, FL and lovingly known as GG Mary to her great grandchildren, Chloe Rivet, Jay Butler and Hayley Butler.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  She was lovingly cared for by her caregivers and friends, Donna and Jane of Malta, NY

     Mary had been employed as a shirt collar inspector at Lion of Troy in Cohoes, NY from which she retired.  Mary was an avid reader who enjoyed pot luck dinners, yoga, bible study and playing dominos with her friends at Highpointe Sr. Apartments.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Rt. 9 Round Lake, NY on  Tuesday, October 2 at 11:00 am.

     There will be no calling hours.

     Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes, NY
