Ronald L. Teal, 84 of Clifton Park, NY, deeply beloved husband of Joan Teal, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 27, 2018 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by his family.

Ron was born in Sand Lake, NY to Phillip and Mildred Teal on July 20, 1933.  He attended high school at Averill Park Central School, graduating in 1950 as Salutatorian.  He went on to earn a BA in Accounting from Siena College.  He enrolled in ROTC Army Artillery program and was commissioned as a second lieutenant and served on active duty from August 1954 to May 25, 1956.  In August 1956 he started working for a public accounting firm and returned to Siena College to get his MBA.  In 1959 he became a CPA and in 1960 became a partner of Hastings &Teal.  In 1971 he cofounded the public accounting firm Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte (TBC).  Ron especially enjoyed advising his numerous clients and working with the staff at TBC.  He officially retired from TBC in 1998 but continued to work during tax seasons until only a few years ago.

Ron was a member of the Albany chapter of National Association of Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He formerly served as treasurer of The Southern Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, and on the Board of Directors of the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

Ron enjoyed Square Dancing, traveling, playing bridge and spending time with his family, especially his twin granddaughters.  He and his wife Joan achieved the second highest level in Square Dancing which he was very proud of.

Ron is survived by his wife Joan, of 57 years.  He was a devoted father to Larry Teal (Jean), and Theresa McIntyre (Scott), and cherished grandfather to Mary and Rachael McIntyre.  He was eldest brother to Audrey Trupia (Joe), and Ernest Teal (Joan).  Ron was an uncle to Allen Teal (Sue), Paul Teal (predeceased), Joanne O’Hern (Orv), and Nancy Nichols (Tom).
