Obituary of Eloisa Montalvo

Eloisa Montalvo, 87, of the Bronx, New York and former resident of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico went with the lord on Saturday Sept. 23, 2017 at Montefiore Hospital after battling complications with Alzheimers.  She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on Nov. 16, 1929 and was the beloved daughter of the late Monico and Elena Montalvo.  She came to United States at the age of 17 with her late husband Manuel Villamil & first born.  She resided in the Bronx, NY where she was a homemaker and devoted mother of her five children: Manuel Villamil Jr. of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Evelyn Villamil of the Bronx, NY, Angel Villamil of New York City, Robert Villamil of Hightstown, NJ and the late Albert Villamil. She was a religious woman who was a member of the Pentecostal Church.  In 1987 she remarried to the late Santo Rivera and returned back to her homeland of Puerto Rico where she lived 30 years of happiness before returning back to the US.  She had a love for animals, enjoyed sewing, listening to Christian music,  watching television & shopping.  She is survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Monday at 12:30 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Calling hours will be from 10:30 - 12:30 pm Monday in the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will be in Jonesville, Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY.
