Obituary of Carl Spirawk

Troy - Carl D. Spirawk, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday August 25, 2017. Born in Elmira, he is the son of the late Gladys and Joseph Spirawk.

Carl was a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner salesman for more than 40 years and owned and operated All Brand Appliances in Troy until his recent retirement. He will fondly be remembered for his great sense of humor, his marathon trips to the Racino and his love of cooking especially his traditional Easter ham and Thanksgiving turkey. He loved stopping by Kennedy's for a beer and some laughs.

Carl is survived by his children, Thomas (Joan Cain) Spirawk, Robert Spirawk, Patrick (Sharon Rollins) Spirawk and Michelle (Dan Wolfe) Marks; his grandchildren, Jodi Spirawk, Octavia Chalk, Olivia Beligotti, Patrick Spirawk Jr., Jamie Moses, John and Charlie Wolfe; his brother, William (Mary) Spirawk; and his sister, Jean (the late Jack) Shields. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family who loved him. Carl was predeceased by his son Joseph Spirawk and his sister, Fane.
