Obituary of Blaise C. Lanni

Blaise Charles Lanni, 68, of Albany and longtime Lansingburgh resident went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday Oct. 30, 2024.  He was born in Troy on Oct. 19, 1956 and was the beloved son of Sharon Doring Lanni of Troy and the late Mario “Mike” Lanni.  Blaise was a graduate of St. Augustine’s School and Catholic Central High School, class of 1974.  Blaise attended Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas, where he began his training to teach God’s love and salvation. In addition to sharing his faith with others, Blaise spent time working at Garden Way Manufacturing in Troy, General Electric, and most recently at Advanced Auto where he worked for many years.  He was an avid trout fisherman who also enjoyed touring on his motorcycle, photography, spending time outdoors, and enjoyed participating in his grandkids sporting events.

He was a devout follower of Christ, deeply involved with his faith and was passionate about sharing the gospel; this was his life.   

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Sibinich Lanni  and the step father to her children Nicolle Szot and Melissa Szot both of Watervliet, NY and Dr. Kimberly Enterline (Joel) of Yardley, PA; brother of Mark Lanni (Josephine) of East Greenbush, NY, Kimberly Fournier (Robert) of Dracut, MA, Justine Crisafulli (Paul) of Loudonville, NY, Gregory (Kathy) Lanni of Loudonville, NY, Michael Lanni (Laura) of Chapin SC, and Melissa Robertson (Peyton) of West River, MD; Papa Blaise to AJ, Maeonna, Malachi, Malia, Joley Ann, Noraly Grace and Kahleesi and Kazsius; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Blaise’s life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of 115^th Street & 4^th Avenue in Lansingburgh (565-4^thAve.) Troy, NY 12182.

Calling hours will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home prior to the service.
