Obituary of Nettie N. Lewis

Nettie N. Lewis, 60, of Troy, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Nettie was born and educated in Troy, New York and was the daughter of the late Alvin Lewis and the late Edna Mae Harold Lewis.

Nettie had been employed at Commodore Dry Cleaners in Lansingburgh and also at Troy City Hall.

Nettie loved TV, music, fashion, dressing up, her wigs, make-up and being on the phone.

Nettie is the beloved mother of Brenna Lewis, Roemello Lewis (who were predeceased by their father Kenneth "Philly" Walker), Kevin Lewis, Elijah Lewis, Prince Lewis and the late Ramone Lewis, loving sister of Inell Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Lynn Lewis, twin brother Eddie Lewis, Christine Lewis and the late Charlie Lewis, the late, Evelee Lewis, the late, John Lewis, the late, Ruby Lewis and the late, Betty Rose Lewis, cherished grandmother of Leanna, La’Nyan and Rhymi, also survived by a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182 with a funeral service that day at 12 Noon all in the funeral home.
