Obituary of Joyce A. Ross

Joyce A. Ross, 86, of Davenport, FL passed away on Thursday June 20, 2024 in Florida. She was born on Jan. 24, 1938 in Glens Falls, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Amy Hinds Redmond. Joyce had been a partner with Homes Real Estate in Clifton Park for many years. Earlier, Joyce had worked for GE in Schenectady. She was the beloved wife of the late Malcolm N. Ross, whom she married on Jan. 17, 1958. He passed away On Oct. 23, 1997.

Joyce loved to travel, taking numerous cruises. She enjoyed playing bridge and all other card games. But most important to her, was time spent with the family.

She is the devoted mother of Connie A. Burns (Thomas) and Lance J. Ross (Deborah); sister of Florence Burnham, Charles Redmond (Ginny), Allison Bailey (Rod) and the late Russell, John, Lindy Redmond (Joy who survives) and Vera Bogohisan; cherished grandmother of Darrell, Nicole, Kaity, Michael and Gene; cherished great grandmother of Kylie, Olivia, Ella, Carter and Savannah; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065. 

A calling hour will precede the funeral service in the funeral home from 9:30 – 10:30am.

Interment will be in the Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY.
