Obituary of Mary Lee Washington

Mary Lee Washington, 75, of Troy, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Born and educated in Jetersville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Clarke Dodson and the late Willie Dodson. Mary Lee had been employed as a CNA by Adept Health Care in Troy and had previously been employed at Leisure Arms Nursing Home in Troy. She was a member, Deaconess and served as the Treasurer of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church in Troy. Mary Lee especially loved to play Bingo and was an avid reader having accumulated her own library of books. Devoted mother of Vanessa Crowder and Betty Haskins, both of Richmond, VA, Vernell Washington, Albert Washington, Rommell Washington (Lillbeth Jare), Andre Washington and Virginia Marshall, all of Troy, sister of Marvin Graves of Troy and the late Willie Dodson, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to both her visitation on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and to her Home Going Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Avenue, Troy, NY 12180. Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, P.O.
