My dearest daughter, Lisa. What happens with time? I still remember at age two picking up acorns while dad played golf at Myrtle Beach. Many great vacations . U were the “ Wave Rider” putting champion. So much fun u had with so many friends right thru HS. I know the “ sleep over parties” u and ypur frds had. U volunteered to be the Boys modified scorer for several yrs - helping u’r dad. We loved the concerts u were in playing the Clarinet. How did I forget our trips to Cooperstown to sleep out all night. Then a storm and out came Ernie Banks at nid night to sing “ Take Me out to the Ballgame”. And HOF’er Red Schendoinst loved u’r red hair.
And I took u to Virginia to baseball card show. We went swimming- and to a ball game - u and I,
And u and I went down to the Westerchester golf classic together. - and ran into the Walrus “ Craig Stadler- great memories.
How can I forget the music together- Weird All, Monkeys, Beach Boys, NKOTB, - and then to Bon Jovi- and u told me how to get up and dance to the band at SPAC ( favorite picture) .
You were always a great writer- wrote funny stories.
U’r love and compassion for animals was heartwarming . Still remember adopting Lady our first dog. And all the cats- u never ran out of names. They followed u upstairs. And how u took care of Duff and Princess- so kind.
And it was u’r soph yr at Susq University- u decided u wanted to study in London. What independence u showed all of us . U would have made a great tour guide of London. U were so brave with frds toom the Ur rail throughout Europe on u’r break. Made lots of frds. And - u always wanted to go to Ireland.
Mom, dad and your bf Jeff all cried when u took off to get on thr airplane at Logan airport.
U and Mike had a great weeding . We were dancing together and Chris Nickled was dancing on the floor.
You were a beautiful bride. I was a proud dad walking u down the aisle.
We loved coming over to Mike’s and your house to paint, weed, put down flooring . So proud of Mike when he graduated from St. Rose.
U were always a great cook - mac n ‘ cheese, spaghetti - u name it.
It was fun when u invited us to the fireworks on July 4th at Miggs. Great time- even though there was trouble from a neighbor. U took such great care of Princess.
U enjoyed going to Sunrise church. Beautiful worship songs.
I still remember u wanted to go with me neat Christmas to hear me preach at Union Gospel. Proud of u’r dad sharing my faith. U took so many pics ofvtge church.
And I can not leave out Matt. How you smiled and had so much fun when he could come down or we go to Turning Stone. He was u’r best friend.
Lisa- mom and dad will never forget the beautiful cake u gave us for our 50 th anniversary - and then the Newlywed game. U “ hamed” it up with smiles and laughter. We loved watching Steve Harvey together.
U lived a full life. U made life better for others. U were so kind and thoughtful. Compassionate for others.
We love u so very much.
Psalm 42
“ As a deer pants for water, our souls thirsts for God. U arr now at peace. No more pain. No more suffering. No more struggles . May the Good Lord show mercy and give u comfort.
Your dad- Love you, Lisa.
