Obituary of Donald W. Garrity

Donald W. Garrity, 84, of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Friday June 9, 2023 at Evergreen Commons in E. Greenbush, NY .  He was born in Troy, NY on July 10, 1938 and was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Holupko Garrity.  Donald was a graduate of Heatly High School.  He had been a cameraman for WTEN Channel 10 for over 36 years.  He loved hunting, fishing working with his hands and proud to have built his own 4 homes. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Gail N. VanArnum Garrity who died on Dec. 24, 2018.

He is the devoted father of Daniel (fiancé Linda Danahy) Garrity of Halfmoon and the late David Garrity (wife Nadia Garrity of Clarksville, TN); brother of the late Bill Garrity (Dottie Garrity of Watervliet) and Jane Duncan; also survived by 7 grandchildren and his two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Friday June 23, 2023 at 1PM in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Clarkesville, TN
