Obituary of Kathleen Ann Brown

Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kathleen Ann (Niemeyer) Brown, age 78, died January 10, 2023, at Collar City Rehabilitation after a brief illness.

She was born in Falls City, Neb. October 16, 1944, to Marvin and Irene (Schultz) Niemeyer.
Kathleen and her four sisters began their lives on a farm. They even sold their horse for a bicycle they shared. She graduated in 1962 from Gretna High School. Eventually, she moved out of Nebraska and spent her working years moving around the country for various jobs. She was most proud of her degree and the work she did for Valley Crest Construction as a project manager on projects such as Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Fla. and The Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
In her later life, her love of weaving led her to open Kathleen's Fiber Arts in downtown Troy. She closed that business in early 2020. She was an avid gardener and loved to read.

Kathleen is predeceased by her parents; her eldest sister, Beverly (Garry) Meyer; and her daughter, Abigail Marie (Mark) Tencza. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Marva (Michael) Clutter, Gayle (Roger) Woodruff, and Bonnie (Patrick) Puntney; her daughter, Jennifer Irene (Curt) Boehm; and grandchildren, Jay and Madelyn Boehm, and many nephews and nieces.
