Obituary of Shannon Mary Ryan
Shannon Mary Ryan, 61, of Round Lake (Town of Malta), peacefully entered into eternal life on December 11, 2022 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born in Saratoga Springs, New York, she is the daughter of William I. and Shirley Bessette Ryan. She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and attended Adirondack Community College.
Shannon spent most of her professional years working and living in Florida with her son Jeffrey. Upon retuning to New York, she served as Treasurer for the Village of Round Lake. It was here that she enjoyed working in the community she lived in, as well as where she grew up. Residents enjoyed her employment as well; appreciating her familiar face and deep roots in the community. She served in this position for 15 years before retiring.
Those who knew Shannon were fond of her witty sense of humor and her easy laughter. She truly loved to cook and prepare food for her family; many recipes she happily shared and are enjoyed. She also never found a word search that she couldn't complete! As an avid dog lover she would often enjoy remembering her beloved Peekapoos, Bella and Millie.
Beloved daughter of Shirley and Bill, devoted mother of Jeffrey Monroe, Jr., loving sister of William I. (wife LuAnn) Ryan III, and Colleen (husband Patrick) Young, cherished Aunt of Ryan (fiance Virginia) Young, Cody (husband Bill) Simpson, Gus (fiancé Stephanie) Young and William Macintosh Ryan. Cherished great Aunt of August, Archie, Benjamin Simpson, Olivia Young and Emma Audette. Also survived by her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private funeral arrangements were entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
