Obituary of Joseph F. Wohlleber
Joseph F. Wohlleber, Sr. of Troy peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family at Samaritan Hospital on Friday September 16, 2022.
He was born on October 18, 1933 in Albany, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph W. and Hazel Gibson Wohlleber, Sr. and was the husband of, the late, Arlene Hogan Wohlleber, who died on June 19, 2012.
Joseph attended Troy High School in Troy, NY. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served from 1953 to 1955.
Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. He was a master Carpenter working at Hudson Valley Community College for over 20 years, retiring in 1996.
Joseph is survived by his three children Steven J. (Sarah) Wohlleber, Sr., Joseph F. Wohlleber, Jr. and Jean Long. He is survived by two brothers William and Robert Wohlleber and the late Gerald Wohlleber. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Jenna M. Long, Stephen John Wohlleber, Jr. and a great grandson Maxton Joseph Wohlleber. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N. Lake Avenue (at the corner of Marshland Ct.) Troy, NY 12180 on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM and to Joseph’s Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:15 a.m.
Interment will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Rd Schuylerville, NY 12871 at 12:00 PM with full Military honors.
