Obituary of John F. McHargue

John F. “Jackson” McHargue, 64, of Pittstown, peacefully entered into eternal life at home on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

 

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William B. McHargue and the late Carol L. Theimel McHargue Pope (the late Melvin Pope) and was a  graduate of Troy High School.

 

Jackson had been employed by the New York State Office of General Services   in Albany and had also worked with Northline.

 

He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, loved gardening and berry picking and most of all loved his nieces and nephews who he was so good to.

 

Devoted brother of Donald “Jimmy” McHargue, Richard “Kip” (Elaine)  McHargue,  the late Carol Vogt (Robert “Bob” Vogt), Diana McDermott, Valerie (the late, William) Turgeon, the late William “Duke”  McHargue, Jr. and the late Robert “Hawk” McHargue, also survived by his loving nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel, (for GPS directions please use 186 Oakwood Avenue, Troy, NY 12182) on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. where Jackson for the service of remembrance.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.
