Obituary of Carol L. Theimel McHargue Pope

Carol L. Theimel McHargue Pope, 84, of Lansingburgh, beloved wife of the late William B. McHargue and the late Melvin Pope, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born and educated in Shoreham, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Royal L. and Aurora Rawson Theimel. She had been employed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Troy. She especially enjoyed times spent with her family, camping at Santanoni in the Adirondacks, sewing and to crochet. Devoted mother of Donald J. McHargue of Taberton, Richard Kip McHargue of Troy, John F. McHargue of Melrose, Carol L. Vogt of Green Island, Diana M. McDermott of Troy, Valerie Turgeon and the late William B. McHargue, Jr. and the late Robert N. McHargue, sister of Shirley Calahan and the late Jean Portman and the late John Theimel, also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy.
