Obituary of Yvonne J. Maloney

Yvonne J. Maloney, 88, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Latham, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Isabella Simmons Wildermuth and was a graduate of Watervliet High School.

Yvonne retired as a Supervisor from Verizon in Troy after almost 35 years of service.

Yvonne enjoyed working outside in her yard and spending time with her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to her camp during the summer at Snyder’s Lake with her husband and daughter and other family members. She was very proud of her Christian upbringing and her childhood memories of growing up in the country. She was previously a member of the Veterans Club in Lansingburgh.

Yvonne was the devoted mother of Colleen Dougherty of Troy; cherished grandmother of Carey Davis of Anderson, SC, Lisa Davis and Stacy Davis, both of Troy; great grandmother of Austin Forbes, Joseph Quirk, Hailey Davis, Aleah Davis, Adrianna Rasmussen, Gabriella Lynn Davis, Autumn Marie Davis, Madelyn Quirk, Braighten Davis and Nelson White. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gerald and Hurlbert Wildermuth, Cora Poppy and Ruth Miller as well as her former husband, Francis D.”Dan” Dougherty.

Relatives and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 for visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and to her funeral service that day at 12:00 P.M.

Interment will be held in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
