Obituary of Carolyn Ann Fronczek

Carolyn Ann Fronczek, 83 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Saratoga Hospital on December 27, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Merwitz, and her grandparents, Jacob and Sophia Merwitz, who raised her.

She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Ben with whom she built a life, family and business together with.  With her husband, she co-founded Ben’s Farm and Greenhouse in 1970 and remained its owner after Ben passed away. She was also predeceased by her faithful pet dog and friend, Rosie,

She deeply loved her home and property which she lived at for most of her 83 years. She enjoyed plants, flowers and the many customers who visited their Greenhouse year after year.

Survivors include: her children, Ben Fronczek (Nancy) and Rick Fronczek (Susan); her beloved grandchildren; Hannah Watermann, Benjamin Fronczek and Leah McLean (Scott); her brother David Merwitz who lives in Texas; along with her great grandchildren, Emma, Aimee and Noah; as well as other nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be from 11:00 am Friday till 12 noon in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. ,9 Clifton Park, NY 12065, 518-371-5454.

A funeral service will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville, NY.
