Obituary of Louis J. Molinsek
Dateline: Greenfield Center, New York
Louis “Lou” J. Molinsek, 86, of Manor Court died on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness, with his son, Stephen and daughter, Nancy by his side.
Lou was born on April 27, 1935 in Hudson, New York, and was the son of the late, Louis and Ethel Denegar Molinsek.
Lou was married to his soulmate, Phyllis Cannone Molinsek, his beloved “Fifi”, for 53 years before God called her home on April 18, 2009.
Lou was a graduate of Germantown High School, where he earned several awards, including “best kisser.” He retired from the BASF Corp. in Rensselaer, New York where he had been a Chemical Technician, working there for more than 42 years.
Lou was a long-time member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Delmar, New York. He was their long-time softball manager and star pitcher, before hanging up his glove to focus on the Mets. Lou was an avid reader, traveler and loved talking politics and history. He loved all his dogs, like children, and cherished his time at the Bethlehem dog park with his dog, Gabby and his many friends. No demand or request was too big or too much, and he saved all he had for his children and his beloved Fifi.
Lou is the devoted Father of Nancy (Glenn) Hammond, Stephen L. (Gia St. Martin) Molinsek, Esq., and the late, Joann Friedland; brother of the late, Helen Arino; grandfather of Nicholas, Kristyn, Alexendra, Eliza, Kate, John and Luca; great-grandfather of Avery, Camden, Kenna, Cole and Evan; and Uncle of Linda Boski and Arthur Knowles.
