Obituary of Teresa M. Irish

Teresa M. Irish, 78, of Rockrose Way died on Saturday June 26, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born in Albany, NY on June 21, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Cylinda Willsey O'Brien.  She was a graduate of the former Van Rensselaer High School in Rensselaer, NY.  Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Irish who died in 1988.  Teresa retired from Met Life in Latham where she had worked with the short term disability claims division.  Earlier she worked for the New York Telephone Co. and the Carl Co.  Teresa had been a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Crescent until moving to Malta where she attended Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.  She loved dancing, playing cards, bingo, fishing and camping.  She always enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is the devoted mother of Bernard J. Irish (Maureen A.) of Halfmoon, NY, Kevin R. Irish (Lisa) of Porter Corners, NY and Richard E. Irish, II (Alana) of Schenectady, NY; cherished grandmother of Abigael, Kathleen, Matthew, Emily, Gwendolyn and Daniel; also survived by several brothers in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Corpus Christi Church in Ushers where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie, NY.
