My condolences to Dick's wife, Helene and to all her family and friends.
I have been in Naples, FL all winter and just returned, I missed Dick's services. Dick was a long time friend of mine and classmate at LaSalle Class of 1953. He never changed. He was always a very fine and caring person. The last time I saw him was at the Feast of St. Ann at St. Augustine's Church, July 26.
Sincerely,
Pat M. Casale

Dear Helene, Rich (Bev), Mark, Colleen, Michelle (Mike), Karen (Hank), Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, father and father in law. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dick for almost 40 years, and have always enjoyed the times I’ve spent with him at our many LaRose/Carl family get togethers. His wit and infectious smile will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Aunt Helene and family,
I am really saddened by Uncle Butch's passing.
He had such a positive impact on me as a child growing up and in adulthood when we had the chance to visit for family events.
He was one of the few truly creative Uncles I had. He Loved science, religion, painting, and photography. Such a great mixture of interests and welcomed sharing them all with us with a down-to-earth demeanor.
He was really inspiring and was someone I called to mind in tough situations, "What would uncle Butch do?", probably the right thing and keep it low-key.
Along with Helene, they both always sent mass cards and birthday cards and were up for a phone call at random times.
Lots of love for this family.

Helene again I am so sorry for the passing of Butch, he was a super nice person, took great pictures, said I told you earlier tonight he took the wedding pictures for Jack and I, and he was my sponsor when I was confirmed as a catholic and you were both the God Parents for my sons when they were baptized. I have looked at those pictures over time. I keep him in my prayers and, although I will not be there with you and your family, I will be attending mass on Monday. Love and Best Wishes Always your sister-in-law Barbara Burhans HIpwell.

Dear Aunt Helene and Family - So very sorry for your loss and our loss. Uncle Butch could always tell a good joke. I wish I had his memory. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with him again a couple of years ago when my mom and I came up for a visit to NY. Aunt Helene and Uncle Butch always sent holiday and birthday cards to all of us nieces and nephews. I will always remember all the summer family picnics when we were young. We are all lucky to have some such memorable family experiences. We will all see him again one day. Love to the whole family. Donna

I remember going to Uncle Butch and Aunt Helenes home for the holidays many times throughout the years. We always had such a great time hanging out with all of the cousin and Aunts and Uncles. Uncle Butch was always one of the nicest, easy to talk to, funny people you would ever want to meet. He liked everyone and treated them all with respect.
Uncle Butch took the pictures for my Mom and Dads wedding album which is so beautiful. He was a fantastic photographer. Uncle Butch, you will be missed by everyone, but know you are loved by all.
Love, Elaine

Dear Aunt Helene and family, Uncle Butch was one of a kind! He always had the most unique story as a way of combining his deep faith with his love for his scientific work. And even more than that, he would do anything for his family and was never at a loss to share his love of the Church with anyone who would listen. I loved that about him! Kindness was his hallmark and he will be missed!

My sincere condolences to the family. Uncle Butch was one of the kindest people I have ever met. No matter what you needed or what time he would be there to help you out. I spent many car rides with him shuttling me back-and-forth to the train and bus stations. We will miss his kindness and gift to gab!. He was very spiritual and religious and no doubt is in a special place.
Love,
Nadine
