Obituary of Thomas S. McKeown

Tom McKeown, 69, of Clifton Park, passed unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 19, 2021.

 

Born in Hudson, New York, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nellie Owcarz McKeown and the beloved husband for 52 years of Cora J. Deschaine McKeown of Clifton Park. He was a graduate of Colonie Central High School.

 

Tom retired from Shop ‘n Save in Schaghticoke and was previously at their Ravena store. He had previously been employed by Hannaford.

 

Tom loved gardening, listening to music, enjoying a beer “watching the grass grow” as he would like to say and most of all, spending time with his family.

 

Beloved husband of Cora, devoted father of Thomas R. McKeown and Kelly McKeown-Moffat and the late Jeremy McKeown, brother of Dennis McKeown (Christine) and the late Pam Nous, also survived by his loving and cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

 

Facial Coverings, social distancing and capacity limitations must be adhered to.

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Lustgarten Foundation (Pancreatic Cancer Research) 415 Crossways Park Dr., Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797 or to the American Heart Assn., 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205, in memory of Thomas S. “Tom” McKeown.
