Obituary of Donald J. Lambert
Donald J. Lambert, 94, formerly of Willowbrook Lane, Brunswick, peacefully entered into eternal life on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Henry and Eleanor (Bouchey) Lambert. He was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, member of American Institute of Architects.
Mr. Lambert was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and received his Honorable Discharge on Nov. 5 1945.
Mr. Lambert was passionate about golf, his career as an architect, his community service to the township of Brunswick as chairman of the Planning Commission for 10 years, was an active member at the Country Club of Troy and served as President for 2 terms. He also chaired many committees at Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway, where he was a communicant and past trustee, over the decades. He also served as a committee member to Save the Uncle Sam’s Home in Troy and designed the Brunswick Greens Golf Course.
He had been employed by the State of New York for 40 years including Director of Physical Plant Support Services for the State University System prior to his retirement.
Donald was the beloved husband for 56 years to Anna T. (Farkas) Lambert until her passing on May 28, 2003 and he was also preceded in death by his infant daughter Ellen in 1956.
He is the devoted father and father-in-law of Scott and Nancy (Brown) Lambert of Malvern, PA, cherished grandfather to Justin of Paoli, PA and Ryan of Honolulu, HI, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to current restrictions and for the safety of everyone, the Visitation, Funeral Mass and Interment with military honors will be private for those invited. For others, please join the Zoom links below for the Mass and the Interment.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N. Lake Ave, Troy, NY 12180 by dear friend Father Randall P. Patterson and will be available to those not able to attend at Zoom meeting link

For those who have been invited, the Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. that morning in Church. Both the Mass and Visitation will be limited to a maximum of 100 attendees with social distancing and facial covering required.
Interment with military honors will be held in St. Jean’s Cemetery, Troy at approximately 12:15 p.m. Saturday and will be available at Zoom meeting link
