Obituary of Donald H. Lindstrom
Donald H. Lindstrom
Nov. 18, 1935 – Dec. 26, 2020
Beloved husband, father, and loyal patriot, Donald “Don” H. Lindstrom of Clifton Park, NY passed at the Veteran Association Hospital of Albany on Saturday, Dec. 26. Born on Nov. 18, 1935 to Lars and Ellen (Anderson) Lindstrom in Englewood, NJ, Don came of age as a multi-sport athlete at Dwight Morrow High School and went on to receive his college degree from Farleigh Dickinson University. He continued to pursue his athletics by playing football while serving as a second lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. During his service, he married the love of his life, Cecile J. Rash (predeceased on Dec. 15, 2014). The couple raised a beautiful family consisting of four children and split their time between Park Ridge, NJ and Lake George in Ticonderoga, NY—where some of his fondest memories took place. He shared his devoted fandom of the New York Yankees and New York Jets with all and was an avid music lover. Don embraced a career in the food industry beginning with Campbells’ Soup Company and escalating to partner at MW Houck Food Brokerage where he spent the majority of his professional life.
Don was predeceased by his wife, Cecile (aforementioned), as well as his older brother Lars, and is survived by his younger sister, Ellen Fisher, of Fort Meyers, FL. Don’s pride and joy was his family and watching it grow. His four children and their families include: Bonnie (daughter) and Kevin Carr - Chesapeake, VA; Chloe Carr – Norfolk, VA. Tammy (daughter) and Alan Neufeld - Clifton Park, NY; Samantha and Casey Lucca - with daughters, Willa and Fiona - Saratoga, NY; Madison and Zach Roth – Corinth, NY; Donald (son) and Mikki Lindstrom - Cornelius, NC; Andy (son) and Claudia Lindstrom - Murfreesboro, TN; and Dakota and Dylan Heflin – Murfreesboro, TN.
