Obituary of Lorretta L. Brogna

Loretta Brogna passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Teresian House, with her family by her side. Loretta was born April 19, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary DeSantis Fazio. Loretta was a homemaker in Burlington, VT. She eventually got a part-time job with J.C. Penny’s as a receptionist. When the family moved to Clifton Park in 1976 she continued at Penny’s in the Accounting/Auditing Office. After her retirement, Loretta loved spending time with her family and shopping - not necessarily in that order. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her devoted husband Salvatore, whom she married November 21, 1953. She was survived by seven grateful children and their families; Alex (Alexandra) Brogna of Clifton Park, Paul (Nancy) Brogna of Williston, VT, Judi (Russ) Reeves of Troy, Stephen (Debra) Brogna of Clifton Park, Donald (and Waverly Family) Brogna of Schenectady, Mark Brogna (John McLennan) of Albany, and Maria (Mark) Brozost of Rochester, NY; seventeen grandchildren, nine-soon-to-be-ten great grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; and her brother Michael Fazio and his wife Maria Fazio of Long Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. Patrick J. Butler, Pastor at St. Edward the Confessor Church 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Waterford immediately following. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Loretta's memory to the Wildwood Foundation Attention Development Office 2995 Curry Road Extension Schenectady, New York 12303.
