Obituary of Rosemary A. Herbert

Rosemary A. Herbert, 80, of Crescent Road died on Friday Dec. 18, 2020 at the Baptist Retirement and Rehab Center in Scotia after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 20, 1940 in Ballston Spa and was the daughter of the late John and Edith Wells Reilly. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Herbert. Rosemary had been a housewife and homemaker. She was a faithful communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, NY "Rosemary was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1498 in Halfmoon, NY and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Korean War Veterans of Troy, NY. She was also a member and former Treasurer of the Halfmoon Senior Center where she enjoyed playing shuffle board and traveling with her fellow Senior Center members. When she wasn't occupied being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Rosemary enjoyed many interests, which included; bowling, participating in craft groups and playing cards each week with her friends. Rosemary touched many lives and will be missed by her family and friends." She is the devoted mother of Karen (Michael) Socola of Ballston Lake, NY; Sister of Barbara (James) Mitchell of Ballston Lake, NY and James (Wilda) Reilly of NC; cherished grandmother of Kaitlin Socola of Albany, NY and Connor Socola of Ballston Lake, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park, NY 12065 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will precede the Mass in the Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C.
