Sharon R. Haner Hornick, 67, beloved wife of the late William R. “Bill” Hornick, Sr., peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Gadzaliszyn Haner and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. Sharon was an exceptional wife to the love of her life of 46 years, devoted mother and the best Nanny any grandchild could ask for. She cared deeply for her family. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help and she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy. Devoted mother of Ilene Hornick (Thad Fennelly) of South Glens Falls, Shannon Lopez (Rodney) of East Greenbush, William R. Hornick, Jr. (Jessica) of Lansingburgh and Teresa Hornick (Rick Busta) of Cohoes; sister of Thomas Haner of Ohio, Denise (Derrick) Denney of Ballston Lake, Ruth (Don) Bendetti of Missouri and the late Richard and Daniel Haner; cherished grandmother of Shane (Emily Fennelly), Madison (Darrius Burnette), TJ (Athena Vasquez), Paige (Ish “Ash” Robinson), Logan, Aiden, Kyle, Cailee, Lucas and Bennie, adored great grandmother of Sofia, Kendall, Shane, Jr., Lillian and Baby Burnette who she was anxiously awaiting this April. Sharon is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John J.
