Ralph Wright, Jr., 61, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2020.
Born in Brooklyn, he was educated in Queens. Ralph was the son of the late Ralph and Louise “Weezy” Miner Wright.
He worked alongside his parents at their family operated Buy-Wright Bedding on Sutter Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Buy-Wright Bedding serviced New York City’s five boroughs and Long Island with mattresses and box-springs from 1972 through 1990. Buy-Wright Bedding was a staple of the community; showing people of color that success was possible.
Ralph enjoyed cooking for people and was the greatest whistler of all time. He whistled wherever he was.
Ralph was the much loved brother of Deborah Bradley (Wayne Sr.) and the late Raymond Wright, Cherished Uncle of Wayne (Lashondra) and Steven, Loving Great Uncle of Nia, Nisha, Wayne III, Jason, Xavier, Jasiah, Jasir, Steven Jr., Alicia, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral
