
Obituary of Anthony Leon Vandenburgh
It is with great sadness that the Vandenburgh and Kazunas families announce the passing of our baby boy, Anthony Leon Vandenburgh on Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was due to have joined us on June 28th
Anthony Leon is survived by his loving parents, Joseph Vandenburgh and Katherine Kazunas. They are joined in sorrow and being uplifted by support from their their loving families which include Anthony’s paternal grandparents, Kevin and Kay Vandenburgh, maternal grandparents John and Christine Kazunas, great grandparents, Charles and Cheryl Schermerhorn, and aunts and uncles, Kaynan (Catherine) Vandenburgh, John Vandenburgh and Lauren (fiancé, Edmund Proctor, Jr.) Kazunas.
Anthony Leon is Kate and Joe’s first child as well as the first grandchild of Christine, John, Kay and Kevin and the first nephew to his Aunts and Uncles Kaynan (Catherine), John and Lauren (Edmund).
Anthony Leon will be cherished forever.
A private funeral was held for the family at St. Augustine’s Church, Lansingburgh and was followed by a committal service at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
