Obituary of Michael A. Westcott

Michael A. “Mike” Westcott, 75, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 in the comfort of his home.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Barney Westcott and Shirley Stark Westcott Monk and the stepson of the late John Thomas Monk, Jr. He completed his education at Berlin Central High School.

Mr. Westcott had been employed by “RTS” - Repair Track Services in Green Island.

Mike loved racing and working on racecars with Matthew.

Survivors included his children, Michael A. (Tally) Westcott, Jr., Matthew Westcott, David (Candy) Westcott and Loni Cavert, his siblings John T. (Marcy) Monk, III, Judith (Kevin) Boomhower, Patricia (Arron) Koffman, Daniel (Amy) Monk and the late Matthew Monk , also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his brother, David Westcott.

Relatives and friends are invited to Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Ave, Troy, NY 12180 for his graveside service this Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
