
Obituary of Michael H. Fisher
Michael H. “Zeke Moon” Fisher, 76, of Mechanicville, formerly of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, February 6, 2026, when he answered his last alarm.
Born on January 18, 1950 in Troy, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Helen Wandell Fisher and was a graduate of Troy High School. He was a lifelong Trojan and proudly served his community for 20 years as a dedicated Firefighter with the City of Troy Fire Department. Following retirement, he had been employed at Plaza Liquor in Brunswick for one of his best friends for many years.
Zeke had a loved of sports and spent plenty of time betting the lines. He loved collecting coins and model cars.
Michael is the beloved husband for 20 years to his wife Patricia F. “Patty” Thompson Fisher with whom he has been together for 40 years, devoted stepfather to Kenneth “Kenny” (Marybeth) MacNary and the late Christine “Chrissy” (Walter) Whalen, grandfather of Kayle Whalen, Alexis Whalen, Mekennah MacNary, and Jack MacNary, great grandfather of Bryce, Camden and Roman, loving brother of JoAnne (Mike) Tarbay, Mary Lee (George) Rogers and the late Nan (Jim) Flannigan, also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as brothers and sisters of the Troy Fire Department.
Relatives, friends and Zeke Moon’s brothers and sisters with the Troy Fire Department are invited to the John J. Sanvidge, 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182 on Thursday, February 12, 2026 for Calling Hours from Noon to 3:00 p.m. and to his Funeral Service with Troy Fire Department honors will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Those attending are asked to join his family from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in a reception to continue to celebrate and honor the life of Zeke Moon at the Veterans of Lansingburgh, 777 First Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
