Obituary of Bert J. Czwakiel, Jr.
Bert J Czwakiel, Jr., of Halfmoon, died suddenly Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his home at the age of 75.
He was the son of the late Bert J. Czwakiel, Sr. and Helen (Schaeffer) Czwakiel, formerly of Watervliet and Blue Mountain Lake. Bert was predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie (Morano) Czwakiel.
He was a 1968 graduate of LaSalle Institue in Troy and retired from NY State government service in 2010.
Bert’s great passion was music, and he worked as a disc jockey in his early years. He had a generous heart and would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his four siblings, Mary Beller (Robert), Gini Stanwell-Smith (Colin), John Czwakiel and Paul Czwakiel (Susan) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 13th at St. Edward the Confessor, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park 12065, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with the viewing just before at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
