Obituary of Leslie H. "Bud" DeVoe, Jr.

Leslie H. “Bud” DeVoe, Jr., 68, of Clifton Park, NY, beloved husband for 38 years to Karen J. Livingston DeVoe, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, October 3, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Leslie H. and Lorraine Snedecor DeVoe, Sr. and the stepson of the late Lila M. DeVoe. Bud was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park.

Bud was a Sound Engineer with American Concert Entertainment Services in Albany.

He was an accomplished musician and was the founder of the band; “Big Sky Country”.

Bud’s passion was music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed fishing and most of all, his grandkids.

Beloved husband of Karen DeVoe, devoted father of Sarah A. (Phil) Ploeser, loving brother to Darlene Olmert, David (Penny) DeVoe, Jay (Laura) Dahoda, Kimberly (Jennifer) Williams and the late Tina (Steve) Thayer, cherished grandfather of Allyson V. Ploeser and Isabella D. Ploeser, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. and to the Funeral Service that evening at 7:00 p.m. all at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Bud’s family wishes to express their special thanks to his siblings as well as to Michael D’Alessandro and Buddy Tricarick for their loving support and care.
