
Obituary of Judy L. Osgood
Judy L. Cusson Osgood, 67, of Poestenkill, beloved wife for 42 years to Homer A. Osgood, Jr., peacefully and unexpectedly entered into eternal life at home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Frances T. McClay Cusson and was a graduate of Averill Park High School.
Judy had retired from the Averill Park Central School District where she nurtured the students while working for the Food Service Department. After retiring, she then worked at St. Pius X School in Loudonville also in Food Service.
She was an avid New York Yankees fan, loved playing Words With Friends, Scrabble, Yahtzee and Uno as well as baking and cooking. Most of all she loved the time she spent with her family to include her cherished grandchildren.
Judy was the beloved wife for 42 years to Homer A. Osgood, Jr., devoted mother of Kim (Ed) Burns and Jennifer (Dean) DeCrescenzo, cherished grandmother of Meghan Prouty, Kristina Prouty and Leo DeCrescenzo, loving sister of Ann Naylor, Caroline (Andy) Kehn, Gail (late, Wesley) Guilinelle, Lori (late, Richard) Chevalier and the late, Larry (Eileen) Cusson, the late, Gary (Linda) Cusson and the late Donald J. (Cheryl “Sherry”) Cusson, Sr., also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and to the Funeral Service will be held that afternoon beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Poestenkill.
Judy’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Arlene, Iola, Eileen, and Debbie for their years of friendship.
