Obituary of Faith M. Hathaway

March 25, 1957 – September 4, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Faith Hathaway, who left this world on September 4, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born on March 25, 1957, in New Lebanon, New York, Faith lived a life marked by strength, love, and deep devotion to her family. She passed away peacefully in Troy, New York.

Faith was a beloved mother to Faith Santana, Eric VanZandt, Steven Hatch, and was preceded in death by her son, James Hathaway. She was a cherished sister to Hope Schermerhorn, Charity “Beth” Schermerhorn, and Greg Schermerhorn, and was reunited in rest with her siblings Tim, Junior, and Danny.

Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom brought immense joy to her life and will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.

Faith’s life will be honored at a memorial gathering on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Cornerstone Community Church, 570 Third Avenue, Troy, New York 12182, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering her generous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
