Obituary of Thomas M. Polak

Thomas M. Polak, 66, of North Adams, MA and formerly of Clifton Park (Town of Halfmoon), passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at North Adams Commons in North Adams, MA.

Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the Elaine Beers Polak and the late Michael  Polak.

Tom enjoyed joking with everyone, and his hobbies and interests included muscle cars and aviation. 

In addition to his mother Elaine, he is the cousin to Linda Roe, Laurie Demarsh, Holly Argento and Wendy Deshaw.

He was predeceased by two brothers Lawrence D. “Larry” Polak and Michael “Mickey” Polak and one sister Carolyn Prebble.

A private graveside burial will take place in Long Lake Cemetery, Long Lake, NY.

The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation for many years of loving care to Tom.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Diabetes Association, in memory of Thomas M. Polak.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
