Obituary of Robert B. Peabody

Robert B. “Rob” Peabody, 41, of Lansingburgh, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Born in Troy, he was the son of Erin L. Bryan Peabody and the late Harold J. Peabody, Jr. and was educated in the Averill Park schools.

Rob was a self-employed carpenter following in his father’s footsteps having been an accomplished craftsman.

He loved fishing, cooking, grilling, cars, vehicles and football and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Beloved father of Robert B. Jones (fiancé, Emily Coluccio), Tiannah French (fiancé, Aaron Collins) and Julian Peabody, dear brother of Harold J. “Jimmy” Peabody, III, Mark Peabody, Michael Peabody, Craig (Sondra) Peabody, Traci (Daniel Kosarovich) Peabody, Margie Peabody, Jeffrey (Janet) Peabody and the late Thomas Peabody, proud grandfather of Octavia, also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and their families.

Rob’s relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m.
