Obituary of Alice A. Cassidy

Alice Ann Cassidy, 64, of Troy and formerly of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with cancer on Monday, April 21, 2025.

 

Born in Troy, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Philip J. and Mary Ann (Piche) Cassidy and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Class of 1979.

 

Alice was a dedicated team member having been the batch plant dispatcher at Bonded Concrete, Inc. in Watervliet for over 40 years. She loved her work, her co-workers and those she worked with from so many   companies.

Alice loved to work, dining out, to travel, but most of all spending time with her close friends and family. Her family meant the world to her. She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh and of the former St. Mary’s Church in Troy.

Alice was the devoted sister of Christopher (Darcy) Cassidy, Margaret “Peggy” (Ralph) Cioffi, James (Mary Kay) Cassidy and the late Philip J. “John” (Tracie) Cassidy, Jr., cherished aunt of the late, Kyle Patrick Cassidy and also of Eric (Allison) Cassidy, Chad (Alexandra) Cassidy, Philip John (Jennifer) Cassidy, III, Ryan (fiancé, Katie Markellos) Cassidy, Dr. Alexandra A. (Ryan) Burke, M.D., Dominick (Nicole) Cioffi, Garrett P. (fiancé, Allison Griffin) Cassidy, Francesca M. (James) Lilly, Louis (Alex Bonardi) Cioffi, Justus Cassidy, Liam Cassidy and Angelica Cassidy, adored great aunt of Maggie Joan Cassidy, Emma Cassidy Burke, Molly Ann Burke, Michael Louis Burke, Cameron Cassidy, Sophia Cassidy, Philip John “Jack” Cassidy, IV, Luca Rhodes Cassidy, Lilliana Mary Cioffi, Luna Lou Cioffi and Lucelia Hermie Cioffi, and the late Jackson James Lilly, also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends, especially Bernadette Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Augustine’s Church, 25-115th Street, Troy, NY 12182 on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for Alice’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be followed by interment in St. John’s Cemetery in Lansingburgh. In keeping with Alice’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours.

Alice’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Pahwa as well as to Dr. Paul Paik, Elizabeth Panora, NP and the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering for their superb care.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Alice A. Cassidy.
