I'm sorry Phyllis. I just heard today. He was a great neighbor and I'm sure that you are lost without him.

Although I have many fond memories of Uncle Tom at family gathers when I was a kid, the best by far, is when he visited us in Toronto, CN.
My son was a newborn and Aunt Phyl and I were busy with the baby. At one point we wondered what happened to Uncle Tom, realizing he had been "missing" for quite some time. Eventually, he showed up exhausted and sweating. He didn't want to worry us but the dog had gotten loose and he went after him. Uncle Tom chased Milo for over an hour; through a park, across a busy road, along the beachfront, around the tennis courts... The story goes that Milo eventually ran head-first into a tree and knocked himself out. That's when Uncle Tom grabbed him and dragged him home! I'm still laughing to this day, 27 years later! God bless you, Uncle Tom. xoxo

Tom was a genuinely wonderful person and was such a giving soul. I appreciated his dedication to the ushers and greeters ministry, and always loved talking about football with him prior to masses. He will leave a large void in our church community and in my life.

We both worked at DMV together. He was both a good friend and mentor to this IT amature. He joined me and others to work the State Fair...a busy fun time was had by all.
