

Obituary of Linda Ann Reinker
Linda Ann Reinker, 84, has peacefully moved to heaven on Sunday, February 2, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
She was born to parents Clyde and Thelma Baisey on May 16, 1940, in Rocky Mount, NC. She grew up in the area and eventually moved to Scotland Neck, NC where she was one of nine children.
After high school she moved to Virginia to study nursing and met the love of her life, Jim Reinker. They met in the fall and were married the following February in 1959. Their 61 years of marriage were enjoyed in Ohio, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, and finally in Clifton Park, New York. Linda is survived by their two sons Jim Jr. and John and their wives Heidi and Cindy, grandchildren Michael, Paul, Jeffrey, and Callie, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Clyde Jr., Dorothy, Victoria, Jane, Judy and Debra Sue. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Kenneth & Charles and close friend Eleanore Whalen. Linda loved and was loved by family and friends.
Linda loved her pet poodles, oil painting, reading, gardening, and canning and freezing fruit and vegetables. She enjoyed camping and boating with the family and would spend weeks every summer in a tent when her children were young. She enjoyed living in St. James Plantation in NC when they retired and was a long-time member of Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southport, NC. Linda became a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church upon moving to New York.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5th at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service a 11:00 a.m. at Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. She will be buried on Tuesday, February 11th at The Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck, NC after a memorial service arranged by Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Letchworth Chapel, 101 W 7th Street, Scotland Neck NC 27874.

Linda's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Eddy Village Green, especially in House 14, for their unfailing love, care, patience and support over the past five years
