Obituary of Beulah A. Cooper
Beulah A. Cooper, 71, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George and Beulah Benson Ouillet and the beloved wife of over 46 years of Donald A. Cooper, Sr., who passed away on July 6, 2010. She was a graduate of Maple Hill High School in Castleton.
Mrs. Cooper retired in 2007 from the NYS Department of State in Albany where she had been employed for 18 years. She had previously been employed as a cashier at Shop-Rite and various Capital District stores.
She was an avid Bingo player, loved to crochet, enjoyed doing things outdoors, miniature golf, long car rides, sightseeing and the times spent with the ladies group playing cards where it seemed that she was always the winner. Beulah was a faithful member of the Temple Baptist Church and previously at the Watervliet Wesleyan Church.
Devoted mother of Cynthia (late Steve) Brewer of Halfmoon, Donald A. (late Tammy) Cooper, Jr. of Troy and Michael S. Cooper of East Greenbush, cherished "Grandma" of Shane (Blair) Brewer, Jessica Cooper, Ashley Hadden, Cody Cooper, Donald A. Cooper, III, Kacie Cooper and Heather Cooper, adored great "Grandma" of Bryce, Cole, Makala, James and Mathew, sister of George (Carol) Ouillet and Gerald Ouillet, both of Albany, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 and to the Funeral Service which will begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening, officiated by Pastor Don Klob.
The funeral procession will depart the funereal home on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. for those wishing to join the family at the committal service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m..
The Cooper family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staffs at both St. Peter's Hospital and Rosewood Gardens, for their loving care and compassion that was always provided to their mother and themselves without missing a beat.
