Obituary of Lawrence J. Ruggles

Lawrence “Larry” James Ruggles, 36, of Janes Avenue died suddenly at home on Sunday Oct.22, 2017.  Larry was born in Saratoga Springs, NY on Oct. 24, 1980 and was the beloved son of Hon. Patricia M. Lanahan Ruggles, Malta Town Clerk, and the late Lawrence J.  Ruggles, who died Oct. 30, 2016.  He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 2000.  Larry had been a technician, working with his late father, the owner of Pat’s Heating and Air Conditioning in Clifton Park. He has worked in HVAC since his early days in high school.  He was a lifelong Round Lake resident “Laker” who enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends.  Larry was an avid football enthusiast, having played at Shen and was a true follower of the San Francisco 49ers and  the University of Miami football teams.

In addition to his mother Patty, Larry is the devoted brother of Jason (Nicole Schuman)  Ruggles of NYC and Jeanne (Benny Reynolds) Ruggles of Odessa, NY; nephew of Nancy Bell of Round Lake, NY; cousin and best friend of Matthew (Elizabeth) Bell of Charlton, NY; uncle of Cassidy Moat and Jessa Reynolds; also survived by several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 pm Friday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Funeral services will be private.
